Sum of Our Routes, tents sited on south lawn of museum -
Field Guide, 2007–08, was a site-specific exhibition with animator Joseph E. Merideth and architect Dan Wheeler that took place in a series of dramatically sized illuminated tents on the grounds of the Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago's Lincoln Park. The tents, and the multimedia works inside them, referenced nature stations and navigational systems: a lighthouse, a star map, a campfire. Field Guide examined the interplay between macro and microscopic, and different ways of experiencing, exploring, and sensing our surroundings.
